& Rescue' Teambuilding Game ( whole day activity ) Our most popular activity in which teams of 4-7, accompanied by an instructor, are given a sketch map of the farm and a walkie-talkie - working on information received in radio messages they work their way around grid references and deal with various problems, ranging from rescuing another passenger on a stretcher they build to getting the whole party across a river. They are working against the clock in situations where the emphasis is on team-work, problem-solving and communication rather than physical strength and endurance. Suitable for Years 4 and up. We increase the difficulty level for older groups. Compass and Coordinates Trail ( morning or afternoon activity ) Set within the farm boundaries, the course promotes map work, compass use and plotting coordinates. Each small team will be accompanied by one of our instructors. Suitable for Years 4 and up. Archery ( morning or afternoon activity ) Led by a GNAS qualified instructor, this can be either an indoor or outdoor activity, depending upon the weather. Bows are available for all age ranges, Year 4 and up. Gifted & Talented / Older Students We have a range of specially developed, fun and challenging activities for Year 10 and above. From ‘Catapult Challenge’ to ‘Forward Reconnaissance Unit’, these activities involve GPS units, 2-way Radios and other kit to create activities that are really different. Field Studies We have a variety of worksheets based around the farm, including scavenger hunts, picture quizzes etc. that Teachers may use with their groups.
