About the news page

The most important thing to happen this year is the launch of our sons business still working from the Glory Art Glass studio he is designing and making beautiful memorial paperweights which contain the ashes of loved ones. To look at other examples look for the eternity page. The striking thing about them is how lovely they are to look at, with each person choosing the most appropriate colours for them. there will be other variations in the course of time.

The mackerel sky

This is the view from the end of our garden, well not quite the trees are in the way but a short walk down through the landslip does reward you with this view. Of course its not always a mackerel sky , some times the sun shines. This is Bonchurch coastline, each day I take photographs of the sea and sky the horizon dotted with ships. Large container ships that look like whole cities lie anchored off, sometimes it seems like another country on the horizon. Sometimes it feels like the edge of the world.

On a recent visit to our daughter Danielle in massachussetts I bet I spelt that wrong. We visited her favourite Deli and greena grocers called Guidos (Meryl Streep shops there). Fantastic displays of the most lovely vegetables fish and groceries this is the bottle section
