This beautiful vase is filled with the same nostalgia.
To make this piece I gather and apply blue powdered glass as a background then my son prepares a strap of hot glass which has hard and soft whites. This is brought to me hot and wrapped around the ball of blue. The strap is then manipulated before a second gather of hot glass is made to case the whole.
