This conical vase teetering on its narrow base and looking as though it might be very happy on a sandy floor is partnered by the following piece.Primitive drawing in primary colours on strong oval forms one with a red rim the other blue. They could be separated but look so well together. (2nd piece below).

The idea of groups of pieces which live together attracts me greatly, families of objects, sharing a sense of identity in the same way human beings do. Complementing meshing yet stubbornly different,its interesting to see how far the differences can be pushed without losing family identity.
